Area description
Porches is located right in the centre of the Algarve coast. Situated in a quiet village location but 3 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk from Armacao de Pera and 15 minutes drive from the popular resorts of Albufeira, Portimao, Alvor and Carvoeiro. Porches is famous for its terracotta pottery and is a wonderful Portuguese village with arguably two of the best Blue Flag beaches on the Algarve, which are often frequented by the rich and famous. Close by is a fantastic luxury hotel, which offers five-star facilities including a spa and beauty treatments. There are a wide choice of restaurants and bars both at the beach and within the village.
Arguably two of the Algarve's most beautiful beaches, Praia Nova and Praia Senhora da Rocha are situated 4 minutes walk from the apartment. The beaches are accessible one to the other via a tunnel under the rocks, on which stands the picturesque fisherman's Chapel Nossa Senhora da Rocha. A 20 minute walk from the apartment is the popular sandy beach at Armacao de Pera, which at 4km long is one of the longest stretches of beach in the Algarve.
The Algarve is renouned for its multitude of golf courses and waterparks, all of which are easily accessible from this centrally located apartment. The apartment is centrally located in the Algarve - ideal for golfing, sightseeing, beaches and relaxation. It is perfectly situated for walkers - being a 4 minute walk from stunning cliff top walks that stretch for mile after mile and offer views of the dramatic rock formations, caves and numerous secluded beaches.
